From start to finish, your door is hand-crafted and visually inspected every step of the way. Our custom-built interior doors are 1 3/4 inches thick, and our exterior doors are up to 2 1/4 inches thick. This gives your doors a rich and elegant feel like no standard industry door could.

but you just can't put your finger on? It’s the woodwork. Most people that
have walked into an old house built before the ’60’s have walked away saying
’Did you see the woodwork in that place?’ Builders of that era understood
the term ’value added’. Solid doors and nice woodwork adds instant equity to
the home.
THERE IS A SEASON in the life cycle of all
home building projects when the budget is monitored closely and time is a
commodity. It’s usually at the end of the project and we find ourselves
looking for places to cut costs. It’s then that we look at our door and
window package and see it as the area where we can come up with the best
cost cutting avenues. In doing so, we cut equity in our homes by scaling
back to hollow core or solid MDF 1 3/8" doors and cheaper woodwork. It’s a
decision that earmarks the house and commits any future buyer to a certain
level of quality.
THINK ABOUT IT. Have you ever purchased a
house and went into it thinking ’I’m going to tear out all of woodwork and
doors and put in better ones’? No - That's a major remodel. Chances are you
went into it and said the first things I want to change are the carpet and
repaint it. Yet, what is it we do when designing our home during budget
crunch time at the end of the project? Cut the doors and wood work and
upgrade the carpet and texture/paint the walls for the temporary WOW effect.
The house is then dated and can only be remodeled to a ’certain level of
quality’.
DON’T MAKE A MISTAKE. An upgrade to solid
wood doors should not be viewed as an expense, but rather an investment. The
standard upgrade to solid wood doors for a $200k home could be around the
$5k mark and could add an additional $25 to the monthly payment. However, it
will most likely add instant equity of 5 – 7% to your home value in the right
market. Where else are you going to own an option of $10k – $15k for $25/mo?
